How to do if the iPhone XR phone cannot be power off

After iphone X, Apple has cancelled the home button, including XR, XS and XS max, and the forced shutdown method also different as before early models. Then ,What should we do if the iPhone XR phone cannot be turn off? Do you need to force shutdown?

Press the volume + button on the left side of the phone and release it immediately
